About The Retail Conference
The first Retail Conference was held in September 2007. The event was created by
Clare Bailey, The Retail Champion. Having observed that the majority of retail events were hard-selling exhibitions and that
quality, content-driven conferences were typically only available for a hefty ticket price, Clare determined that there was an opportunity to bring
something new to retailers.
Today the two annual Retail Conferences provide retailers with a place to
network, learn and share in a 'safe environment' with a like-minded audience. Most importantly, The Retail Conference events differ from other events by ensuring that attendees are not aggressively sold to by a plethora of exhibitors and non-retail attendees.
Now,
The Retail Conferences are established events on the retail calendar and attract up to 200 attendees. The event has evolved over the years in response to delegates' feedback but the ethos of providing a quality, content-rich event has been maintained.
Our
carefully selected sponsors are the lifeblood of the event, enabling us to offer heavily subsidised tickets to our forward-thinking delegates. Each sponsor is a
well-regarded expert provider in their field and all have been advised that attendees won't respond to a 'hard sell' approach.
The Retail Conferences deliver
engaging content based on a consultative approach, sharing case studies, insights and lessons learned. This means that delegates understand what each sponsor offers and can then build a relationship of trust from which far more
mutually profitable partnerships are developed.
